Hawke Optics – Our Top Picks

Hawke Optics – Our Top Picks – for airguns and air rifles. How often have you gone to your local shooting range to find an individual with thousands of pounds worth of rifle, yet sporting a cheap optical sight? More times than you’d probably like to admit. Like most industries, an individual is at times only as good as the tools of their trade, and shooting sports is exactly the same.

If you’re on the market for a top-quality optical sight, then in our opinion you need to look no further than Hawke Optics, a UK-based manufacturer with over four decades worth of experience.

From humble beginnings in a garage over 40 years ago, Hawke has become a world leader in sport optics. Headquartered in the United Kingdom with a presence in over 60 countries and expanding to the United States in 2007, Hawke Optics prides itself on remaining a family run business since its inception.

The company’s mission is to produce the finest precision optics available anywhere in the world. They achieve this with relentless dedication to quality and innovation. Making use of the finest materials and the highest quality standards, precision designs result in products with outstanding performance in the field. And their world-class No-Fault Lifetime Warranty will give you peace of mind in your purchase.

At Hawke, their products represent their founder’s passion for placing a premium on quality, a dedication to value and devotion to customer service.

Hawke Optics Airmax scopes feature Hawke Optics H2 optics in a variety of configurations designed to suit airgun characteristics and are available in First Focal Plane (FFP) and Second Focal Plane (SFP).

The all-new Airmax 30 WA Touch offers an unbelievable 37° FOV; unrivalled in sport optics. With zero eye relief, the Airmax 30 WA Touch is ideal for PCP air rifles.

The Airmax makes use of Hawke Optics AMX or AMX IR reticles, dependant on model. Both the AMX and AMX IR glass etched reticles are based on the spacing of a 10x Mil Dot. The AMX offers multiple aim points, useful when shooting air guns with loopy trajectories.

Half Mil Dot spacing on the lower post provides increased aim points for long shots. The horizontal bars are calculated at 0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 mil spacing. Hollow posts are segmented into mil spacing and can be used for bracketing.

Part of Hawke Optics flagship range, the Hawke Optics Frontier SF comes in three different models, all utilising their Mil Pro reticle. Making use of Hawke Optics’ new H7 optics with a high zoom ratio, while providing supreme clarity and light transmission, the Frontier SF range offers supreme accuracy for rifle shooting.

Accurate mil spacing on 10× magnification. With half Mil spaced markings extending out to 10 Mil of holdover, the Mil Pro (10×) is a versatile reticle that provides aim points no matter how extreme the distance.

All reticle measurements are Mil spaced and offer 1 Mil, 0.5 Mil and 0.25 Mil brackets for range finding. Every second Mil spacing on the lower section is numbered to ensure quick and easy acquisition of target and ease of reference.

Each cross has a see-through gap, allowing an unobstructed view of the target. The thick outer posts are hollowed to ensure they can be seen at all magnifications, without blocking out too much of the view.

When on 10× magnification, the Mil spaced reticle and 1⁄10 MRAD turrets make for easy point of aim adjustment. Every 10 clicks on the turret will measure exactly 1 Mil spacing on the reticle, also known as 1 MRAD.

Winner of the Optics Product of the Year at the 2022 Great British Shooting Awards, the Hawke Optics Sidewinder is a product you can most certainly place your trust in.

Hawke’s new System H5 optics boast a stunning 24 ultra-wide field of view with generous 4 inch (100mm) eye relief. This projects a high volume ‘eye-box’ image that passes through the scope, bringing you closer to the action than ever before.

Improved sharpness and clarity provides incredible accuracy and unrivalled down range performance. 18 layer multiple lens coatings allow for the intense light transmission required from top optical devices.

High grade, low dispersion crown glass is used throughout to create crisp first and second focal plane optical systems that have minimal field curvature and distortion.
