The Great British Shooting Awards 2022

Pick your fieldsports favourites across 16 categories at the Great British Shooting Awards 2022

The shortlists are now in so it’s over to you, the voting public, to pick the winners for the Great British Shooting Awards 2022, which returns for its fourth year. The Awards aim to give recognition to the products, organisations and people that make our industry tick. From cartridges to clothing or scopes to shotguns, they represent excellence in every corner of the market.

We have received hundreds of nominations and, thanks to our dedicated judging panel, we have whittled the competition down to only five shortlisted entries per category. For 15 of the 16 categories the winner will by picked by you, the shooting public; this includes rifles, ammunition, optics, night vision and thermal, as well as the gamekeeper and stalker of the year.

Last year you selected the Duke of Northumberland for the Outstanding Contribution to Conservation Award, his multiple projects including improving habitats for red squirrels and grey partridges on his Northumberland estate. Stalker of the Year went to our own Chris Dalton for the third consecutive year, while Paul Childerley took Gamekeeper of the Year.

A special Lifetime Achievement Award went to Charles Nodder of the National Gamekeepers’ Organisation for his tireless work on behalf of shooting. Many brands, including Härkila, Sako, Hull Cartridge, CZ and Beretta, were recognised, too.

You can cast your vote straight away as the Awards opened today, 1 January 2022. Once voting has closed on 31 January 2022, the independent judges will adjudicate, with the results announced on 18 February 2022.
